Les Éditions
du Phoenix is a young and dynamic publishing
house located in Montreal’s West Island. We offer a diversified
range of literary products aimed at helping children discover and
sustain their desire to read – and to bring more experienced
readers to the next level with our high-quality books.
Phœnix publishes well known Canadian authors, but also encourages
talented unpublished writers as well. Phoenix’s current collections
include internationally recognized writers that collaborate with
local illustrators to produce exciting stories. From fantasy to
reality, the adventures offer escape, heighten the imagination,
enable children to connect with the characters and encourage discussion
and awareness of social values and issues.
Les Éditions du Phoenix and its authors are supporting literacy
in Montreal through Raise-a-Reader – a unique program designed
to increase awareness, and raise money for family literacy programmes
across Canada.
Phoenix also promotes literacy through its learning guides developed
for teachers, librarians and children. The guides are unique, helping
children gain a better understanding of the books, improve their
French grammar and spelling and inspire a taste for discovery and
learning. Each guide includes a wide range of activities and questions
and can be downloaded free of charge from our website.
Our books are available in Canada, and in France, Belgium and
Switzerland.
